Built in the late 19th century, this narrow-gauge railway covers a distance of approximately 96 km, connecting the town of Kalka with the hill station of Shimla.

Matheran Hill Railway, Maharashtra

Matheran Hill Railway finds itself on the Tentative List of World Heritage Committee. Built in the early 20th century, this picturesque railway covers a distance of approximately 21 km, connecting the town of Neral with the hill station of Matheran.
