Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has commanded three popular cities of the state to be completely sealed. As per the CM’s order, cities including Indore, Bhopal and Ujjain are under curfew now. At the same time, the Essential Services Management Act (ESMA) has been invoked in MP to ensure that supply of essential services and goods is not hampered.
The decision was made after the CM and other senior officials reviewed the entire situation as well as control measures regarding COVID-19 in Madhya Pradesh.
As a strict measure against people with travel history who hide COVID-19 infection, the CM asked police to file an FIR and take appropriate action after the medical treatment.
Indore had 40 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, which makes the number of infected persons 213 so far. The number of infected persons in Bhopal is 94, with the lowest in Ujjain at 13.
