A day trip to the towns of Rothenburg, Nördlingen, and Harburg gives an opportunity to visit perfectly preserved old towns in Europe. The two hours long drive passes through stunning Bavarian countryside. While on the way to Rothenburg, visit the 11th-century Harburg Castle, one of the oldest and best preserved fortifications of medieval times. Stroll around the streets of Rothenburg, and soak up the medieval history. If time permits, consider visiting few more towns over a period of three to four days.
