Get schooled in Islamic culture and tradition
Word to the wise: The closest metro stop to the Jumeirah Mosque is World Trade Centre, which is still a 20-minute walk away. Best to combine a metro trip with a taxi ride.
Visitors have the opportunity to ask questions about Islam in an informal environment during a Q&A session. Guides are not shy about discussing controversial or seemingly uncomfortable topics, and are happy to address issues ranging from terrorism to women’s rights.
Built in 1978 according to traditional Fatimid architecture, the Jumeirah Mosque is one of the most prominent symbols and landmarks of Dubai. Its beauty warrants a second visit at dusk when the lights begin to glow, or at night when it is fully illuminated.
