Tourists visiting the Statue of Unity in Gujarat will now be able to opt for homestay facility in the villages near the site. Reportedly, the Narmada district administration is working towards making homestay facilities ready in Kevadia colony for the visitors who intend to spend more time exploring the statue and its surroundings.
All the basic facilities will be made ready in the renovated rooms including washrooms in every house. The estimated cost likely to be incurred in this project might be around INR 2 lakh to INR 2.5 lakh per house. Once the renovation work is completed and all facilities are functional, the details will be available online for the public. Besides the homestay facility to accommodate visitors, the area near Statue of Unity has Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan and Kevadia Circuit House.
