A two and a half hour drive from Canada's capital city will take you to Ottawa. Make a pit stop at the Parliament Hill and take lots of pictures. For the rest of the day, dig into the sumptuous delicacies and some serious shopping at the Byward Market that is lined up with open-air vendors, boutiques and eateries. Ottawa is also famous for its scenic bike pathways that are as good as Montreal’s waterways. So, if you have a serious thing for cycling, hit the road on a bicycle and pedal your way to attractions like Rideau Canal locks, Mont Royal and the Grand Prix Formula One track. On Sundays, the 50 km of paths are closed to traffic in the mornings; so all the more reason for the cyclists to enjoy an uninterrupted cycling experience. Tourists have a good range of options for lodging in Ottawa. Fairmont's historic log lodge and spa, Le Château Montebello, is an ideal place for tourists wanting to be treated like royalty.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
