Banff

Set at an elevation of 1,383 m, the town of Banff is the highest in Canada, and I would say the prettiest in the whole wide world. Exquisitely surrounded by mountains in all directions, and further accentuated by the Bow River flowing through its heart, the dreamy town of Banff is a sight for concrete-sour eyes. The Banff town has your requirements for convenience shopping, adventure activities, dinning, and accommodation, whilst you enjoy the extreme wilderness of this park. But, don’t get me wrong, it’s no ordinary rubble in the wild; it’s an enigma, an Island, in mile after mile of wilderness. Its streets are thoughtfully named after the wild, the Banff Town does pay homage to its honorary guests, for its not uncommon to spot an Elk sitting proudly on its street namesake.
Banff town goes about its dinning business pretty seriously, and delivers much more than what the guests come looking for. Country style smokehouse cuisine slow-cooked on hickory wood, or authentic Asian Restaurant with delectable food and views, or the Edgy boutique restaurants – the brainchild of young and talented, each serving sumptuous meals line up the place, and vie for the visitor’s attention. ‘Nourish Vegetarian Bistro’ would be one recommendation that I would like to make. A Bohemian style Vegan restaurant serving nutrition-laden fresh food with a twist, this is a haven for vegetarians. Its artistic take on food transforms for instance cheesy Nachos to those with 27 fresh ingredients, a gourmet meal in itself. Do make prior reservation, as meat lovers knock its doors quite as much as the Vegans.
