As per the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, tourists aged over 18 years of age with transit, visit and visa-on-arrival, can now get a SIM card at the Dubai airport’s immigration counter. The said SIM will remain valid for a month, which comes with 3 minutes’ talktime and 20 MB free mobile data. However, travellers can top up the card during their stay if they want.
The SIM card works in sync with the immigration system, which will be deactivated once the tourist exits the country. As per the news reports, to top up the SIM, the tourists can choose from three packages, i.e., small, medium, and large.
