Notre-Dame Cathedral, originally a Jesuit church, is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Luxembourg City. The cathedral, whose name translates to ‘Cathedral of Our Lady’, is the only cathedral in Luxembourg. With the first stone of the church laid in 1613, it’s not only a noteworthy example of late Gothic architecture but also shows plenty of Renaissance elements in its building style. The interesting mix of architecture and size makes the cathedral one of the most imposing buildings in the city. It’s located in the city centre and is a short walk from Adolphe Bridge.
