An abundance of hiking tracks and opportunities for windsurfing and kite-surfing exists. But opting to sail in the lake or be taken on a sail by proficient sailors who make sailing look a breeze can be an introduction as attractive. Superlative wind conditions, and being located at an altitude of 1800 m above sea level, make the lakes of the Engadin admirable for sailing. Around noon, when the wind builds up, conditions are especially favourable for the boats. And as they frequently tell you here; if the wind is on holiday, renting a stand-up-paddleboard, rowing boat or electric bicycle is always an option.
