Interestingly, if you venture further down on this street, you will come across another historical structure from the pre-colonial era, the Mahrana Pratap Dwar, which was used as pit stop for cable cars and trams.
The National Capital Region can boast of two clock towers, the second one being in Hari Nagar in West Delhi.
The best way to get to this tower is by car or a bus plying on the Delhi University route. You can also take the Delhi Metro; take the Vishwavidyalaya station and take a peddle rickshaw or three wheeler to Ghantaghar. You can also visit the North Delhi Ridge area hereafter or the Roshanara Bagh Club. Best time to visit is on a Monday when the market is closed or morning hours on any other day.
