Looking for the perfect souvenir from your travels in Chiang Mai? We’ve found just the one. Get ready for a fun hands-on activity, supporting a good cause by heading to Elephant Parade House located on the east side of the Mae Ping River. Elephant Parade® is a global social enterprise that organises the world’s largest exhibition of life-size baby elephant statues in an effort to bring awareness to the importance and responsibility of elephant conservation efforts. At Elephant Parade House Chiang Mai, you and your children can paint your own 15-centimetre mini replica of the famous Elephant Parade elephants to help raise money for the organisation’s initiatives and take a piece of personalised art home with you. The painting workshop is open daily and is suitable for most children. If you don’t have time to finish painting your masterpiece at the shop, you can purchase plain elephants to take home. You’ll also be able to see some of the full-sized elephants, painted and designed by international artists and celebrities and browse through the Elephant Parade House’s gift shop. The shop is close to a number of other riverside boutiques and cafes to round out your afternoon.
