One of the best ways to see the glory of RomeNoteworthy for: Capitoline Hill, situated between the Forum and Campus Martius is the highest of the seven hills of Rome.

At one time during its history, the Temple of Jupiter crowned the summit, a symbol of the eternal power of Rome. One of the other principle reasons to put Capitoline Hill on your travel itinerary is for the the Piazza del Campidoglio, designed by Michelangelo. Three of its sides are bordered by the gorgeous structures of Palazzo dei Senatori, and the museums Palazzo dei Conservatori and the Palazzo Nuovo.
