Konjic is a municipality town in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is one of the oldest permanent settlements of Bosnia, going back almost 4000 years. It is located at a distance of 235 km from Dubrovnik and takes nearly 4 hours 35 min to reach. Mountains and rich, dense forests lend a lot of natural beauty to the region. A drive to Konjic is interesting and you will repeatedly want to pull up for photographs. Make sure you factor this into the driving time when you are going to Konjic. Various outdoor activities like rafting, canyoning and hiking make it an ultimate weekend getaway for tourists. For the more adventurous tourists, Konjic has mountain biking too. A trip to Tito's Bunker, which is a 15 min drive, is essential while you are in Konjic. This is a nuclear bunker, which was created by Tito in utmost secrecy. It offers a unique experience of walking back in time and discovering archived communication systems like the telex, which are not in use any more.
