You may have dreams to travel all over the world, but even if you visit Beijing, you can surely realise your dreams, in a way at least. About 10 miles from downtown Beijing and Tienanmen Square, is nestled the World Park, which houses the miniature versions of the world’s 100 prominent spectacles such as the Statue of Liberty, the Disneyland, the Eiffel Tower and the Egyptian pyramids. The park is divided into five continents separated by four tiny “oceans” and “seas”. Visitors can either navigate the globe in mini speedboats, or choose to explore the continents in battery operated cars. What more, there is even a monorail for a transcontinental journey by train. The duplicates of the iconic landmarks are made very carefully, and the same construction material has been used to replicate the originals. Interestingly, the World Trade Centre’s Twin Towers are still “resting in peace” in the suave mimic of the NYC.
