Jimbaran Bay is one of the most beautiful places for sunsets in Bali and is famous for the seafood BBQ restaurants that line the beach. Most of the accommodation in Jimbaran is at luxury 5 star resorts and big hotel chains and there is not a big shopping or nightlife scene here. Jimbaran is also best suited to those who want a relaxing holiday and aren’t bothered about exploring far outside their luxury resort.
The Bukit Peninsula is also popular with surfers as it is home to some of the best surf breaks in Bali and perhaps even some of the best in the world like Ulu Watu, Padang Padang, Balangan, Dreamland and Impossibles. Ulu Watu also appeals to non surfers as it is home to one of the most famous temples in Bali. It offers stunning cliff side sunset views. There are plenty of budget guesthouses and hotels in this area that mainly cater to the surfers but the traffic can get congested as surfers race around to catch the best waves.
