This nightclub is in the ultra touristy neighborhood of Plaka, but unlike many of the clubs and bars here, visitors will find more Greeks than tourists bopping about. Brettos is where you will find an array of home-made liqueurs in the area, produced from recipes that have been passed down from the early 1900s. It is the oldest distillery in Athens, offering 36 different kinds of liquor, and the colorful bottles and lights that adorn the walls make it a lively atmosphere. It’s not a large place, and if you are lucky you can snag a seat on one of the fifteen bar stools. What you won’t find is any headbanging music or people dancing, instead this nightclub is a more intimate experience with wine and liquor tasting throughout the evening. If you are looking for a unique place to spend a couple hours in the evening, we highly suggest you visit Brettos.
