The Khan Shatyr is basically a giant, glowing tent. Built in the neofuturist style, it was unveiled in 2006. The 150 metres tall tent itself is enormous with 140,000 square metre base. Underneath it lies a park which is large enough to fit ten football stadiums. This space is full of shopping and entertainment venues, with everything from a boating river to a mini golf course. Designed by UK architect Norman Foster, this is the highest tent structure in the world.
