Cleverly designed airport with convenient transport links
Word to the wise: If you go by taxi, there is a RMB 10 toll that you will be expected to pay.
The fastest and easiest mode of transport is the Airport Express, a 20 minute train ride that takes you to and from Dongzhimen subway station in the city. The 6am - 10.30pm train service costs RMB 25 and has plenty of luggage space.
Shuttle buses are a cheaper option at just RMB 16. Buy a ticket at the bus stand and tell the attendant where you're headed. Buses take about one hour to get into the city, and take nine different routes, passing by most major hotels. Check the airport website for information on each stop.
Cabs are a more expensive option, but ensure minimal hassle. Go to the taxi stand downstairs and get into the city for about RMB 100.
