This might be a dream come true for all the ardent beer fans out there! A hotel in Columbus, Ohio, has opened recently and has earned the tag of being ‘the world’s first beer hotel’. Yes, you read that right.

So, how did it all happen? It all began in March 2017, when a premium Scottish beer firm, called BrewDog, launched a crowdfunding campaign to open ‘world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel’. The campaign is aimed at having one-of-a-kind hotel, wherein the rooms would feature beer taps, a spa using beer-infused products along with fridges stocked with only beer.

In no time, the campaign generated enough fund and a 32-room beer hotel, called The DogHouse, was inaugurated.

A beer lover’s dream


1) Each room here is installed with beer taps, while showers have mini-fridges stocked with beer.

2) Guests will be welcomed by a lobby bartender, who will greet them with free beer upon arrival.

3) This is one-of-a-kind crowdfunded beer hotel in the world.

4) Interactive beer museum.

5) And yes, they have shower beer too!

6) The lobby features beer games and activities including beer pong for the entertainment of guests.

7) One can book the Standard Rooms for $162/night, while the BrewMaster Suite can be booked at $284.


The co-founder and CEO of BrewDog, James Watt said it is the world’s first hotel offering guests a night’s stay inside a brewery, literally. This is the only hotel, where you get malt massages to brewery views and shower beers.
