Connecting the northern part of Warsaw city with Old Town, leading up to the Castle Square, Royal Route is worth exploring. About a kilometre in length, it has always been among the most well-known and prestigious streets in Warsaw since it has some of the most important buildings such as the Presidential Palace, churches and other imperial buildings. It also leads to the some of the most popular landmarks such as the castle, the fort walls and the imposing Sigismund’s Column. The road has wide pavements in parts and is adorned with lovely lamp posts and pots of flowers.
