Pensione Seguso is a 2-star hotel that is run by friendly owners and staff, and offers affordable accommodation close to all of Venice’s main attractions. The hotel is located close to the Dorsoduro district overseeing the Giudecca Canal and is only a short walk away from the Dorsoduro museums and the main tourist attractions in Venice.

It may be only a 2-star hotel, but the rooms are elegantly decorated and the 24 hour service is 5-star. Rates start at 125 Euros a night and include a free buffet breakfast but Wi-Fi is chargeable. You might find the absence of air-conditioners and private bathrooms a downside; however, each floor has three shared bathrooms and there is rarely the need to queue.
