Ramgarh lies 20 km north of Fatehpur, and 16 km away from Churu. It boasts of arguably the most number of havelis in entire Shekhavati. Few people visit it as it lies off the tourist circuit.

There are eight havelis of note owned by Poddar family in Ramgarh. All the havelis have fine architecture, and ochre murals and frescoes. Two of them are double havelis and are huge. Some are crumbling down due to lack of maintenance. A common feature is the motif of three fishes joined at the mouth, which is peculiar to Ramgarh.

Shani temple, devoted to the Saturn god, was built in 1840 by the Khemka family. It has an ornate interior of mirror work, and blue white murals featuring mythological tales.

Ramgarh has one of the finest collections of chhatris in the Shekhawati region. The Ram Gopal Poddar Chhatri, built by the Poddar family in 1872 has excellent paintings depicting scenes from The Ramayana, life of Lord Krishna, and musical ragas. There are said to be more than 400 paintings on the Chhatris. There are also separate compounds for Chhatris of Poddar family, and on them are dazzling array of paintings, especially on the domes.

Antique dealers in main bazaar are happy to sell carved doors and windows from derelict havelis. There is only one accommodation option in Ramgarh, and it may be a bit costly for budget travellers.
