Although this is a franchise, it still is one of the best gelaterias in Rome and in Italy. There are several shops around town. The most popular one is the one in Piazza Navona, for obvious reasons. The motto of Gelateria Grom is “gelato like it used to be made”. At Grom, gelato is made following traditional recipes. Only fresh organic ingredients are used to prepare the basis: no artificial colours, aromas, preservatives or emulsifiers are added, but only high-quality fresh milk, cage free eggs and white cane sugar. The bases are whipped every day to prepare the fresh gelato. Flavours available change regularly to reflect what’s in season. Best sellers are pistachio and hazelnut.
