Serendipity beach lies alongside Ouchetal Beach in Sihanoukville. Although just a small beach, it’s cute and is a great place to hide from the madness of Ouchetal during the day if it’s all too much for you. There are many guesthouses nestled in hillside that slope down to Serendipity Beach. They vary in cost but many have fantastic views of the water, and the ocean breeze. There are also a few with balconies which are a perfect way to just sit and enjoy the day with a cool drink and a good book. As the sun sets, the party comes out. Ouchetal and Serendipity Beach are party beaches and attract many tourists and backpackers to these parties that last until the sun comes up. Cheap, cold beers and loud music are available at many of the bars and guesthouses. Be careful of your belongings though, as local thieves take advantage of group situations and loud parties to steal bags and valuables. If noisy beach parties aren’t your thing, you might like to stay further off the beach at the Billabong Hotel. It’s quiet, peaceful and has a pool and a great restaurant.
