Triund trek starts from Dharamkot, McLeod Ganj, just 2 hours drive from Palampur. It’s a beautiful trek that offers amazing views of the valley and takes 4-5 hours to reach the top. It’s an easy trek and can be done by non-trekkers too. There are tea shops on the route where one can rest and enjoy a cup of hot tea. At the hilltop, there is green pasture patch that acts as a camping ground for those who want to spend leisure time here. You can return the same day, but I recommend staying back and camping at Triund, which is located at a height of 2842 m above sea level. You can further trek to Lahesh Cave. Gazing at the stars while relaxing in the lap of Dhauladhars is something you must experience. You will wake up to a magical sunrise. Slowly the golden sunrays light up the valley below and mark the beginning of another beautiful day.
