Savi and Vid

Savi and Vid have been to over 500 cities in 70 countries, following their love of offbeat and luxury travel. From hiking glaciers in Alaska to dining with Penguins in South Africa, their adventures and photographs have been featured on several TV stations and newspapers, including Discovery Channel and the Huffington Post. They are particularly in love with road trips and in the last year alone, they’ve driven over 20,000 miles in a dozen countries. They write about their experiences on www.bruisedpassports.com.

The shabby-chic vibe of Riad Madani is perfect if you are fond of eccentric accommodation. This isn’t the most luxurious riad but definitely the most unique. Its walls are adorned with vintage Chinese silks, Moroccan prints, and European sculptures. Riad Madani is the residence of an ex-diplomat and resembles a museum. The bric-a-brac nature makes it stand apart from the hundreds of riads that have come up in Marrakech in recent years.
Location wise, Riad Madani is absolutely perfect. It is located in the midst of Marrakech’s busy Medina but its peaceful ambience makes it seem like it is miles away from the action. The heated swimming pool is a great touch, perfect to unwind after a long day at the souks. Wifi can be patchy so this might not be the best choice for you if you have to be connected to the virtual world even on your holiday.
