Often used as a central location for local festivals and holidays, there always seems to be something happening on the temple grounds, which is well-respected throughout the region and home to an important Buddha statue. Look inside the viharn (main temple building) which is decorated lavishly elaborate glass mosaics and murals of Thai legends, but don’t forget to wander the grounds and peek into the smaller buildings and shrines. There is also a leafy meditation garden behind the main temple building with Buddhist sayings hiding in the trees that’s perfect for taking a break during a hot afternoon or practicing vipassana.
