Untouristy trattoria serving great seafood
Tipple of choice: The house wine, sold by the carafe, is of unusually good quality.
Word to the wise: It's not the easiest restaurant to find, so check the detailed instructions on the website.
Despite a location moments from the Ponte di Rialto, Antiche Carampane prides itself on not appealing to the average tourist: 'no pizza, no menu turistico' states a sign outside.
Rather, this small, family-owned restaurant is a favourite with locals, drawn by the ultra-fresh ingredients straight from the market and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Fish and pasta are the main dishes here - the crab spaghetti is the best of both worlds.
