Homa Vafaie-Farley has been a potter for over 20 years. She grew up near Iran’s Mount Damavand and often uses her hometown as inspiration for her pieces, imbuing them with the rough and rugged look of the local terrain.

Abu Dhabi pottery is her gallery, studio and teaching space. She’s etched out a relaxing little oasis amidst the hectic hubbub of Khalidiya, and anyone looking to get a little creative will find a convivial vibe in which to do it. Those less artistic can simply buy her wares. Her pieces have an old-world quality, though often with striking, contemporary colours and patterns.
