The world's busiest airport
Talk of the town: It's such a big hub that people say that when you die, whether you go to heaven or hell, you'll connect through Atlanta.
The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is a global hub and the home of Delta Airlines and the primary hub for AirTran Airlines. It welcomes a whopping 89 million people a year. (They don't, of course, all stay to visit Atlanta.) It is one of the easiest places in the world to connect elsewhere, so keep that in mind if you're city-hopping.
Navigating Hartsfield itself can be daunting if you're unfamiliar with it, so allow plenty of time. Check your concourse letter and connect accordingly by the 'people mover', an underground train. If you find yourself with extra time, you won't be bored; Hartsfield functions as a veritable mall.
