Snowflake and Anthropic have announced the expansion of their partnership, as enterprises increasingly adopt Anthropic's Claude models through Snowflake Cortex AI. Organisations seek to deploy AI applications on governed business data and move projects beyond the testing phase, the companies claimed.
For this, the companies have announced new developments in their partnership at Snowflake Summit 2026, stating that customers including Basis, Block, Carvana, eSentire, Indeed, and Notion are using their technologies for business workflows ranging from cybersecurity investigations to financial analysis and customer support.
The announcement builds on an expanded partnership from December 2025, in which Claude models were embedded in Snowflake Cortex AI across all major cloud platforms, and a collaborative go-to-market strategy was developed.
“The rapid adoption of models like Claude through Snowflake Cortex AI reflects a broader shift in what enterprises expect from AI. Customers want AI that works directly on their governed data, not in isolated systems. We’re seeing strong demand across our AI products, with Snowflake Cortex Code becoming the fastest-growing product in Snowflake’s history. Together with Anthropic, we’re helping organisations move from experimentation to production faster and laying the foundation for the agentic enterprise, where AI, data, and governance work together to drive real business outcomes,” Christian Kleinerman, EVP of Product at Snowflake, said.
Focus on AI deployment within governed data environments
According to the companies, Snowflake Cortex AI allows customers to use Claude models directly with data stored in Snowflake while maintaining governance, security, and compliance controls. This allows enterprises to deploy AI agents and select different Anthropic models based on specific workloads without moving sensitive information outside the Snowflake environment.
"Snowflake customers are increasingly using Claude to power cybersecurity investigations, accelerate financial analysis, build production data apps, and many other workflows. Snowflake brings the governed data environment enterprises already rely on, and Claude brings the reasoning to put that data to work. Together we're making it easy for organisations to use trusted AI on their most critical business data,” Steve Corfield, Head of Global Business Development & Partnerships at Anthropic, said.
Customers shared many examples with us of how they are using the technology in their businesses. According to Block customers, they use "Claude" and "Snowflake" together to improve compliance and security investigations, automate workflows, and generate operational insights. Carvana customers indicated that technology will provide governance for managing AI workloads across inventory, logistics, finance, and customer demand. Lastly, Indeed said it is layering "Claude" on top of "Snowflake" to give its employees better access to data and insights.
The companies also said they are collaborating on products including Snowflake Intelligence, Cortex Agents, and Cortex Code. In addition, Snowflake is participating in Anthropic's Claude Marketplace as part of efforts to simplify how enterprises manage and scale AI investments.
Snowflake and Anthropic said their partnership is focused on helping organisations deploy AI systems within existing governance and security frameworks while supporting a broader range of enterprise use cases.
