Sonos Ace wireless headphones with ANC and Dolby head tracking launched

Sonos, the premium wireless speaker manufacturer has expanded to a new category and has launched its first-ever headphones — Sonos Ace. The lightweight headphones are designed using memory foam and vegan leather. The headphones feature a foldable design and support Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality spatial audio.

Launched in the US, the Sonos Ace headphones come with a price tag of $499. The headphones are available for pre-order at Sonos.com and can be purchased in black and white colour options. The company has not yet revealed any details about the India launch of the headphones.

Sonos Ace headphones featuresAs mentioned above, Sonos Ace features a foldable design made using memory foam and vegan leather. The headphones feature replaceable ear cushions, circular materials that allow us to use 17% less virgin plastic, and a 75% recycled felt travel case made from plastic bottles.

Sonos Ace comes with a 40mm audio driver placed in each ear cup paired with eight microphones. The company claims that the custom designed drivers render each frequency with precision and clarity.

The premium headphones come with active noise cancellation support and there’s also an aware mode for ambient sound. The wireless headphones support Bluetooth 5.4 and aptX codec for high-quality wireless playback. For an immersive audio experience, the Sonos Ace supports Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio through various streaming services.

Sonos Ace headphones also offer Dolby Head Tracking that provides dynamic surround sound and seamless audio switching between the Sonos Ace and the Sonos Arc soundbar.

The company claims that Sonos Ace headphones can deliver up to 30 hours of battery backup on a single charge. The headphones also come with fast charging support and with 3 minutes of charge users can get up to 3 hours of battery backup.
