Sennheiser demoed its latest professional audio technologies at the recently held PALM Expo 2026 in Mumbai. The showcase included the India debut of the upcoming Spectera SKM handheld transmitter. The company also demonstrated its Spectera wireless ecosystem, monitoring solutions, and wireless audio management tools, aimed at live production, broadcast, theater and content creation professionals. The transmitter features bi-directional functionality that allows users to remotely control parameters such as gain and low-cut settings. It is compatible with both Sennheiser and Neumann microphone capsules and is scheduled to be available from September 2026. The transmitter is part of Sennheiser's Spectera ecosystem, which is built on Wireless Multichannel Audio Systems (WMAS) technology. The platform combines microphones, in-ear monitoring, and control data within a single wideband RF channel, enabling wireless audio management through a single system.
Commenting on the showcase of the Spectra SKM handheld transmitter, Naveen Sridhara, Sales Director at Sennheiser India, said,
“PALM Expo continues to be an important platform for engaging with the professional audio community and showcasing technologies that are shaping the future of audio. This year, we were pleased to present Spectera and the Spectera SKM handheld transmitter in India, reflecting our commitment to developing flexible, intelligent, and high-performance solutions for evolving production workflows. The conversations and feedback at the show further reinforce the growing momentum around next-generation wireless technologies.”What we know about Sennheiser Spectera ecosystem
