Beats launches Solo Buds and Solo 4 headphones with 50-hour battery life

Apple's Beats brand announced the launch of two new audio products – the $79.99 Solo Buds, the company's most affordable true wireless earbuds to date, and the $199.99 Solo 4 on-ear headphones, which has 50 hours of battery life.

The Solo Buds, available in June, come in a compact case and offer up to 18 hours of playback on a single charge. Despite their affordable price point, the earbuds promise to deliver "big Beats sound" and come in four colours: black, grey, purple, and a sta riking translucent red. While they colorstive noise cancellation (ANC), Beats claims that the Solo Buds provide adequate noise isolation to reduce ambient noise.

Meanwhile, the Solo 4 headphones, available for purchase now, feature significant improvements over their predecessors. In addition to the 50-hour battery life, they support wired audio over both USB-C and the 3.5mm jack and offer passive tuning, allowing them to continue playing even when the battery is depleted. The Solo 4 also includes custom acoustic architecture for enhanced sound quality and supports native software features on both iOS and Android devices.
