Pernell Karl “PK” Subban retired in 2022. He played 13 seasons with many NHL teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, and New Jersey Devils. He also won an Olympic gold medal with Canada at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and two World Junior Championship gold medals. His relationship with Vonn came after a fortuitous meeting at an event for sports awards in 2017. Even though Vonn was in a relationship at the time, Subban was immediately interested in Vonn. Some time after the meeting, Vonn had a breakup, and following the breakup, they met through communication as Vonn participated in events in Europe. In the latter part of 2017, the relationship grew serious and came into the limelight in early 2018.
After a year of dating officially, PK Subban proposed in August 2019, and Vonn proposed to her partner that Christmas, with an engagement ring showing equality in their partnership.
