“Every week they use something different”: Colin Cowherd compared the Kansas City Chiefs to Jason Bourne movies

The Kansas City Chiefs maintained their undefeated streak with a ... Read More
The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions and are 8-0, despite a scare at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles made what could be considered a very odd play call, trying not to lose rather than trying to win the game, taking the game into overtime. The Chiefs won the football game on a touchdown after winning the coin toss, and Colin Cowherd compared the Chiefs to Hollywood movies, as they delivered by the clock's zero.

Colin Cowherd compares the Chiefs to Jason Bourne movies

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers at potential disaster on Monday Night Football hounded the Kansas City Chiefs but could not overcome them as the latter outlasted them in overtime to remain unbeaten. Patrick Mahomes has been a story throughout the year, but after all is said and done, the Chiefs are now 8-0 with home field advantage in the AFC playoffs. The Chiefs may be like Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad, but the best comparison-drawer might see a different perspective.

Colin Cowherd compares the Chiefs to Jason Bourne movies, with them appearing on the edge and using different tactics each week. "It reminds me of those Jason Bourne movies. Seemingly on the edge, staring death in the face and every week they use something different," Cowherd said.

Jason Bourne adapted his approach toward the end of the franchise, relying more on his mental acuity rather than pure athleticism. This methodical style mirrors the Kansas City Chiefs' evolution into a disciplined team over the years. Much like Bourne's resourcefulness, the Chiefs utilize their available tools to navigate challenges effectively.

The Chiefs have won six of their eight games this season by one score or less, despite playing close games. This is concerning for the NFL, as they have won the Lombardi Trophy in the last two seasons. However, with an elite quarterback like Patrick Mahomes and a strong defense, success is possible.
