Jaipur: The 29th Rajasthan State Sub-Junior Handball Championship (Boys and Girls) 2024-25 will be held in Jalore from November 14 to 17.
The four-day tournament will be conducted by the Jalore District Handball Association under the auspices of Rajasthan State Handball Association. Forty teams are participating in this competition, including 24 teams in the boys category and 16 in the girls section.
Honorary secretary of Rajasthan State Handball Association, Yash Pratap Singh said that the tourney will be played on league cum knock out basis. Five grounds have been prepared for the matches.
Around 72 matches will be played in the boys category, while 36 ties will take place in the girls group. On the basis of performance in this competition, 30 probables each will be picked by the selection committee to select the state teams of the upcoming nationals.
The teams of boys and girls category have been divided into four pools.
(Boys) Pool A: Jaipur, Gyan Jyoti Academy, Ajmer, Jhalawar, Dungarpur and Sirohi.
Pool B: Sriganganagar, Churu, Dulmana Handball Academy, Mahi Handball Academy and Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur.
Pool C: Sikar, Bhom Singh Handball Academy, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Hanumangarh and Karauli.
Pool D: STC Nosegay, Alwar, Bharatpur, Jaisalmer, Jalore and Maharana Pratap Handball Academy.
(Girls) Pool A: Sriganganagar, Alwar, Jhunjhunu and Bikaner.
Pool B: Hanumangarh, Barmer, Jalore and Sikar.
Pool C: Jaipur, Bhilwara, Dungarpur and Maharana Pratap Handball Academy.
Pool D: Jodhpur, Chittorgarh, Churu and Dulmana Handball Academy.
