Founded in 2020 by Ivan Macias, Mario Delgado, Francisco Marroquin, and Omar Nagore, Budo Sento Championshipcompleted its 28th event on March 27, 2025. The Mexican promotion joined hands with the UFC when the latter promotion struck a multi-event distribution deal with BSC. All the bouts of BSC were showcased to a global audience through the UFC Fight Pass. The BSC 28 had a total of 6 main card events, 8 pro prelim bouts and 2 amateur preliminary bouts. The event was headlined by the flyweight championship bout between Christian Torres and Jaime Granados. Torres successfully retained his championship belt against Garanados. The BSC 28 was held at the Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera arena, Mexico City, Mexico, on March 27 from 19:00 CST. The event was scheduled to feature 18 bouts, out of which two bouts were cancelled - Aldo Cruz vs. Miguel Calderón and Wallison Silva vs. Fabrizio Escarrega.
