Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo has done something no Winter Olympian has ever done before. The Norwegian skier won gold in all six cross-country skiing events he entered at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo was born on October 22, 1996, in Oslo, Norway. When he was five, his family moved to Trondheim to live closer to nature. Outdoor life was a big part of his childhood. He started skiing seriously at 14 with Byåsen IL.

At 15, he told his grandfather, Kare Hosflot, who later became his coach, that he wanted to be the best in the world. After a growth spurt at 17, he quickly improved. By 18, he was winning national races. Over time, he built a strong record in World Cup sprint races and Olympic events.
