“I’m coming in to kill or…”: Cody Haddon stuns UFC Macau crowd with savage knockout before emotional plea to Dana White goes viral

Australian bantamweight Cody Haddon grabbed attention at UFC Macau after scoring a dominant stoppage win over China’s Aoriqileng at Galaxy Arena on Saturday night. The 27-year-old rising fighter controlled the bout from the start before ending it in the second round with a painful knee to the liver. But it was not only the finish that got people talking after the fight.

Right after the win, Cody Haddon used his post-fight interview to openly speak about money problems and fighter pay inside the UFC. Speaking to UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping inside the cage, the Australian admitted he was struggling financially and asked UFC CEO Dana White and the promotion for a performance bonus. His emotional words quickly became one of the biggest talking points from the event.

The ending came in brutal fashion when Haddon landed a crushing knee to the body that forced Aoriqileng to collapse in pain.

After the referee stopped the contest, Haddon grabbed the microphone and delivered an honest message about his situation.

“I’m super broke. I have no money,” Haddon said during his interview with Michael Bisping.

“Please! I deserve a bonus. I just came into enemy territory and put on a show like that. “You know when you book me to fight, I’m coming in to kill or be killed. “Please, let me be compensated. Thank you.”

The emotional speech instantly spread across social media as many fans reacted to the fighter’s honesty. According to reports, UFC performance bonuses are now worth $100,000 following the company’s new broadcast agreement with Paramount+. Fighters usually receive those bonuses for Fight of the Night or Performance of the Night.

Haddon earned his UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2024 and now holds two wins inside the promotion. The victory over Aoriqileng was also seen as a major step forward for the Australian prospect, who is slowly building momentum in the bantamweight division.

Fighter pay has remained a major discussion around the UFC for years. Several athletes have publicly shared concerns about contracts and salaries despite the company’s growing revenue.

Earlier this year, Justin Gaethje said the UFC’s new deal had not changed his own earnings. In 2025, the UFC also agreed to pay $375 million in an antitrust lawsuit settlement involving former fighters from 2010 to 2017.

For now, Cody Haddon’s future bonus remains uncertain. But his performance in Macau and his emotional message afterward made sure fans would remember his name long after the fight ended.
