Perez Hilton has sparked a fresh debate online after sharing his thoughts on Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton following a recent family outing. The celebrity blogger posted a video on X on May 29 and questioned whether Kardashian showed “bad manners” when she sat in the front passenger seat beside Hamilton while his mother, Carmen Larbalestier, sat in the back of their luxury Maybach after
Scott Disick’s birthday celebration. In the video, Hilton explained why the moment stood out to him. According to him, Kardashian, Hamilton, Hamilton’s mother, Kardashian’s children, and Kris Jenner had all attended the birthday gathering together. After the event, Kardashian and Hamilton reportedly left in the same vehicle while the children traveled separately. Hilton said he believed a different seating arrangement would have been more respectful.
The discussion quickly caught attention online as fans shared mixed opinions about whether the situation was actually a matter of etiquette or simply a personal choice. Reports about the gathering were first highlighted by celebrity media outlets including Perez Hilton and Page Six.

While discussing the viral footage, Perez Hilton said he felt Lewis Hamilton’s mother should have been offered the front seat as a sign of respect. He also suggested that Kim Kardashian could have chosen to sit in the back with Carmen Larbalestier instead.
“Now, I like to be fair. Yes, it’s a very fancy Maybach. But still, two things should have happened, I believe.
Lewis’s mother should have sat in the front next to him as a courtesy, respect, or Kim should have sat in the back where there’s a lot of space with Lewis’s mother,” Hilton said.
He continued by explaining how he would personally handle a similar situation.
“If I’ve only recently started dating somebody, I’m going to want to be in the back with the mom so she’s not alone and so that I get some extra time close to her. That’s just me. I think that would have been good manners,” Hilton added.
The conversation comes as relationship rumors surrounding Kardashian and Hamilton continue to grow. In recent months, the pair have been seen together at several public events. Reports have suggested that they attended Scott Disick’s birthday dinner with members of both families, including Kris Jenner and Carmen Larbalestier, leading many fans to believe the relationship may be getting more serious.
The speculation increased even more earlier this month when Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton were spotted leaving the Broadway production Fear of 13 together in New York City. According to a May 6 Page Six report, Hamilton helped Kardashian into their waiting SUV after the show. Kardashian is also one of the producers behind the production, which stars Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson.
Away from the relationship headlines, Kardashian is currently starring in the legal drama series All’s Fair, which is streaming on Hulu. Hamilton, meanwhile, is competing for Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One following his high-profile move from Mercedes.
