Says that in the previous game, they scored 220 and still lost, but the nature of today’s pitch was different. He is pleased that the local players are doing well, and it keeps them in good shape. Donovan Ferreira wins the Player of the Match award for his all-round brilliance. He says that the wicket did not look good, it was a bit slower, and they had to bat deep, and look to score at the backend. Earlier today, the Texas Super Kings batted first and posted a par score of 196/8. After losing three big wickets in the powerplay, TSK did well to bounce back as Smit Patel, Shubham Ranjane, and Donovan Ferreira played excellent knocks and took their side out of trouble. For the Knight Riders, Shadley van Schalkwyk and Andre Russell were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each, but took some tapping at the backend, while Ali Khan also chipped in at crucial stages along with Holder and Narine, who were on the economical side. This win takes the Texas Super Kings to the second spot, while the Los Angeles Knight Riders remain in the fifth place on the table.

Chasing 197 for the win, the Los Angeles Knight Riders' innings never got going as they lost two wickets in the Powerplay and failed to recover from there. Unmukt Chand and Saif Badar built a handy partnership, but the boundaries dried up, and the wickets kept falling through the middle overs. Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, and Shadley van Schalkwyk swung their bats at the tail end of the innings, but it was all too late for the LAKR side. For the Super Kings, Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein took two wickets each while Stoinis, Donovan Ferreira, and Zia-ul-Haq chipped in with one apiece to round off a complete bowling effort for the home side.
