IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals opt to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad

NEW DELHI: Delhi Capitals captain David Warner opted to bat after winning the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023 match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday.
DC made two changes as out-of-form opener Prithvi Shaw was dropped and made way for Sarfaraz Khan while Ripal Patel also was included in place of Lalit Yadav.
"Looks a nice surface, has got a nice even sheen to it.If you put a good total on the board, you can defend it. It's about being consistent. We got to start well in the first 6 with bat and ball. My mindset is to thank the crowd, they've been a great support. For me, it's about entertaining them," Warner said at the toss.
"It's an important game for us, we need to start getting points on the board. We are looking forward to the challenge. Should be a good game of cricket," SRH skipper Aiden Markram said.
