Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Asia Cup 2022, Highlights: Spinners, Najibullah shine as Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets

Bangladesh were off to a horrific start. They had the supporters on their back but the batters could not keep up with the pressure from the opposition. They certainly lacked partnerships in the middle which lead them to a below-par score. They lost three wickets inside the Powerplay and were unable to stable the ship ever since. Mosaddek Hossain added some impetus to the total with his brisk innings of 48 runs. The bowler's don't have much to fight for but will come out with an aggressive intent. A few early wickets and it could turn up the heat in Sharjah. 

Afghanistan were on top for the most part of the innings. They will be a bit hurt with the way they leaked runs in the death overs but nonetheless would be the happier side going into the break. Bangladesh would've ended below 100 runs if not for Mosaddek Hossain's innings.

Azmatullah Omarzai to Mosaddek Hossain, What an excellent delivery to finish off the innings by Azmatullah Omarzai and he concedes just 7 runs! This is a pacy wide yorker, perfectly bowled, just inside the tramline. Mosaddek Hossain backs away and leaves it in hopes of it being called a wide but it was just perfect. Mosaddek stays unbeaten on 48 and Bangladesh end with 127/7 on the board!

Azmatullah Omarzai to Mahedi Hasan, OUT! RUN OUT! A misunderstanding in the middle and Mahedi Hasan has to go back to the hut. This is a bouncer, on middle, Mahedi Hasan looks to pull it but misses and the ball carries towards the keeper. However, Mosaddek Hossain wants the run and sets off, Hasan did not see him untill he is already in the batting end and moves out of his crease then. The keeper throws the ball back to the bowler and he does the rest. Also, Mohammad Saifuddin is the next batter but he will be at the non-striker's end.

Azmatullah Omarzai to Mahedi Hasan, FOUR! What a shot! This is full and on off, Mahedi Hasan thinks about playing the ramp shot, but adjusts well and scoops it over the keeper for a boundary.

Azmatullah Omarzai to Mosaddek Hossain, A slower one, on a yorker length and on off, Mosaddek Hossain digs it to the right of he short third man felder but the fielder does well to stop it. They cross.

Azmatullah Omarzai to Mahedi Hasan, A low full toss, on middle, Mahedi Hasan drills it towards deep extra cover for just a run. Nabi does well to cut it out in the deep.

Azmatullah Omarzai to Mosaddek Hossain, This is on a good length and on leg, Mosaddek Hossain slaps it towards long off for a single.

Fazalhaq Farooqi to Mahedi Hasan, FOUR! Nice innovation! Fazalhaq Farooqi tries to go for the yorker, but misses and it ends up being a full toss on off, Mahedi Hasan moves across and ramps it towards the fine leg fence for a boundary.

Fazalhaq Farooqi to Mosaddek Hossain, A low full toss, Mosaddek Hossain looks to work it to the leg side but gets a leading edge towards covers. He sets off for the run, Nabi has a shy at the bowler's end but misses. The batters get the run.

Naveen-ul-Haq to Mahedi Hasan, Slower one, bowled into the deck and around off. Mahedi Hasan goes right across the off stump and looks to scoop it over the keeper's head but fails to make a connection.

Naveen-ul-Haq to Mosaddek Hossain, Good comeback by Naveen! Nails the yorker on off stump, Mosaddek Hossain just about manages to get an inside edge onto the pads. The ball goes nowhere but the batters scamper through for a run.
