in Panchkula has been picked as the permanent home for junior Indian shuttlers. The venue will host all the junior camps from now on.

“We are definitely looking at life beyond the likes of Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth. So, the association has decided to invest more in the junior circuit.

Tau Devi Lal Stadium

In Panchkula is going to be a permanent home for the junior shuttlers.

"All the national junior camps will be held here from now onward. We have also got the approval from the Haryana sports department,” Badminton Association of India (BAI) general secretary Ajay Singhania told TOI on the sidelines of the camp on Tuesday.

The Panchkula complex had on July 3-15 hosted a 15-day junior camp for the 23-member India squad that will participate in the Asia Junior Badminton Championship in Suzhou, China, on July 20-28.

“The infrastructure and the facilities at Tau Devi Lal (complex) are world class, there is no doubt about it. So we have decided to build a national academy here. We will also try to bring foreign experts for the all-round development of the athletes,” the BAI general secretary added.
