Indian shuttlers clinch singles titles at Chhattisgarh India International Challenge Badminton
RAIPUR: Indian shuttlers Satish Kumar Karunakaran and Unnati Hooda emerged as the singles champions in the men's and women's categories, respectively, at the Chhattisgarh India International Challenge Badminton.
In the boys' singles final, Karunakaran displayed exceptional skill and determination, defeating his Indian counterpart Ravi in straight sets with a score of 24-22, 21-07, securing the championship title.
On the women's side, Unnati Hooda showcased her brilliance on the court, outplaying her opponent Tasneem Mir in straight sets 21-18, 21-10, to claim the women's singles championship.
In the women's doubles final, the Thailand pair proved their mettle by defeating the Indian duo of Shikha Goutam and Ashwini Bhatt with a commanding score of 21-14, 21-14.
Similarly, the Thailand men's doubles team demonstrated their prowess by clinching the men's doubles championship.
The mixed doubles final featured a remarkable battle, where the Indian pair of Satish Kumar Karunakaran and Adhya Wariyath secured the title by defeating the duo of Dinku Singh and Priya with a score of 21-10, 21-18.
The six-day championship, held at the i-Sports Arena in the state capital Raipur, was conducted under the aegis of the Chhattisgarh Badminton Association and the Badminton Association of India.
