Union Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed the alleged racial abuse and criminal intimidation of three women from Arunachal Pradesh in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. He stated that his office has been in contact with the victims and Delhi Police since the first report, and arrests have been made. Rijiju emphasized that strict legal action will be taken to ensure people from the Northeast are not mistreated. He recalled past neglect and harassment of Northeast students, highlighting reforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including a special police force for Northeast issues. The minister assured that his office actively monitors incidents, prioritizes the protection of Northeast dignity, and will take immediate action whenever necessary.
