Gauranga Das shares 3 rules to protect relationships

Relationships can sometimes feel like walking on a tightrope - it is beautiful when balanced; but it can fall apart quickly by taking just one wrong step. Spiritual guru Gauranga Das cuts through the noise with his timeless wisdom. In a world of viral fights and silent treatments, his 3 simple rules remind us that love grows naturally on privacy, communication, and patience. Here we list Gauranga Das ji's is three rules to protect relationships, as shared in his social media video recently:Photo: Gauranga Das/ Instagram & Canva

2/4

Don't fight in front of others

Gauranga Das explained it well, "Not in family functions, not in front of friends, not in group chats. Once people get involved, opinions enter and things get messy."

Imagine this situation: You're angry, and have a heated argument with your partner. Then people or WhatsApp warriors jump in with "advice." Suddenly, it's not just a fight between you and your partner—it's a public debate. What was fixable becomes family legend. And so, Gauranga Das teaches us: Keep battles sacred. Air grievances privately, where healing stays simple.

3/4

Always talk things out

"Overthinking in your head only makes it worse. Assuming only creates distance. A 10 minutes of honest conversation is better than 10 days of silence," Gauranga Das wisely shared.

That silent treatment? It's emotional quicksand. Your mind spins worst-case stories: "They don't care. It's over." Meanwhile, they're thinking the same. Assumptions build walls; words tear them down. Das' 10-minute rule is gold—sit, breathe, speak plainly.

4/4

Don't let one bad argument end the relationship

"One argument doesn't cancel months of love. One mistake doesn't define the whole relationship. Pause and remember why you chose each other. Relationships don't need perfection, they need patience, privacy and personal communication," says Gauranga Das ji, and rightly so.

That blowout fight? It's one chapter, not the book. We all snap—tired, triggered, human. But erasing history because of heat-of-the-moment words? That's panic, not wisdom. Das urges: Hit pause. Replay first dates, shared dreams, quiet moments that built "us." Perfection's a myth; patience is the glue. With privacy (Rule 1) and communication (Rule 2), storms pass. Love's a marathon—stumbles happen. Choose the person over the perfection. What pulled you together still shines brighter than any fight.
