UPA's Rail Budget is anti-development: Narendra Modi
AHMEDABAD: Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi termed UPA government's Railway Budget as "anti-development and a non-performance budget".
Modi alleged that railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal is misleading the public by not increasing fares.
"The budget will increase the burden of price hike on poor. Gujarat gives maximum income to railway but injustice has been done to Gujarat.
The budget has no provision of Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Pune bullet train plan or increasing sea transport along with railways to match the global needs," he said.
